The preparation of the government through its various agencies particularly the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) against the coming of the “BIG ONE” or the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that is expected (only God knows when) to hit major cities of MetroManila and the areas of Bulaca, Laguna, etc. because Oripening of the West Valley Fault which is located underneath from Angat Dam in Bulacan to Metro Manila, according to PAGASA.  The MMDA throught its Disaster Preparedness Program has organize its Response Team and trying to educate people by actively participating in the community drill.

Nidea (30-01) of the Kalipunan ng mga Boluntir sa Pilipinas (KBNet Phils), a national network and umbrella organization of volunteer groups in the country officially accepted the affiliation of 5 chapters in the province of Laguna and 1 chapter in Cavite province.

(GMA News, Nov. 9, 2013). Samar and Leyte were among the provinces most severely hit by Yolanda on Friday morning when the storm was at its strongest.

Citing a report from the local airport manager, John Andrews, deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said Saturday that more than 100 dead bodies are lying in the streets in Tacloban City in Leyte. More than 100 people, he said, are also injured.

Several government agencies are meanwhile working overtime to deliver aid to more than 900,000 families affected by typhoon Yolanda, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Saturday.

"I think hundreds," Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla said on ABS-CBN television when asked how many people had died in the coastal town of c and surrounding villages that he visited on devastated Leyte island.

Palo and the neighbouring city of Tacloban were struck by devastating storm surges early Friday as Super Typhoon Haiyan began scything through major central islands, disaster officials have said.

CALAUAG, Quezon  --  In order to have an open communication over the VHF radio, the Provincial Executive Council (PEC) of KBNet Quezon (KBNQ)headed by Chairman Fernando “Ding” Mapula (400-01) recently approved to conduct “twice-a-day Net Call”.

In his report to Sir Jennis I. Nidea (30-01), founder and national president of the KBNet Philippines, Inc. (KPI), Sir 400-01 said that every chapter affiliated with the KBNQ will be obliged to host the twice-a-day Net Call – at 7:00 in the morning and 7:00 in the evening.
