KB BICOL TO HOLD REG’L ASSEMBLY08-12-10

REGIONAL Governor Jennis I. Nidea (30-01) today announces that KB Bicol will be having a Regional Assembly on August 21, 2010 (Saturday) at the St. Peter Baptist Hall, Holy Rosary Major Seminary, Concepcion Grande, Naga City.

Nidea said that the one whole day regional affair (8:00am - 5:00pm) will be hosted by the Naga City (KB30) Chapter headed by Sirs Nonoy Rentoy (30-199) and Irvin Ayo (30-54), president & BOD chairman, respectively.

Relative to this, KB30 president Rentoy appointed Sir Jun Kalaw (30-59) as the convention director and who is tasks to work the preparation of the said assembly nd "sees to it that the 1-day event should be widely participated by more than 70 chapters affiliated with KB Bicol", 30-199 pointed out.

The Iriga City (KB502) Chapter headed by its president Sir Arnold Olaso (502-49) announces that the interment of the late Sir Mike Belen (502-07) will be on August 13, 2010, Friday in Santiago Young Cemetery, in Nabua, Camaarines Sur, his hometown.

According to Sir Tony Aguilar (502-01), former 502 president a requiem mass will be held at SAPPC, Iriga City at 1:00 in the afternoon before the "one way" going to the cemetery.

Sir 502-07 is now lies in state at their residence in Bgy. Francia where he served as barangay captain for several terms.

NIDEA IS SECRETARY-GENERAL OF NATIONAL RESCUE & RESPONSE ASSOCIATION08-05-10

LEGASPI City --  The elected National President of the National Rescue & Disaster Association (NRDA) yesterday announced the appointment of Sir Jennis I. Nidea (30-01) as its national Secretary-General.

The announcement of Mr. Romualdo J. Elvira, Jr., Chief of the Albay Agri Rehab Office of the Office of the Governor and the Over-All Coordinator of the recently concluded 6-day First National  Rescue and Disaster Response Competition was made during the Exit Conference.

NRDA was organized as a result of a consultation with various Provincial/City/Municipal Disaster Coordinators present in the 6-day competition held July 26-31, 2010 in Legaspi City and Sto Domingo, Albay.

SIR MIKE BELEN (502-07) AT 30 08-02-10

IRIGA CITY -- Sir Mike Belen (502-07), former president of Iriga City (KB502)Chapter & incumbent PEC CSur Vice Chairman (5th District) succumbed to death at about 3 in the morning of July 31, 2010 in his hospital bed at the Internal Control Unit (ICU) of Dona Josefa Hospital, this city.

Belen was ambushed by 2 unidentified in a full-faced helmet gunmen riding in a motorcycle at about 9 in the evening, July 9, 2010 in a barangay in Nabua.

According to reports, Belen, after taking off in his duty as radio report of FBN-DWEB FM based in Nabua, rode alone on motorbike in going home at Bgy. Francia, Iriga City.

Turning left from Maharlika Highway in Bgy. San Miguel, Nabua, Belen sensed of a danger when he saw another motorcycle (driver and a backrider) tailing him.

KB Bicol to lead Oath of Sportsmanship in 1st National Rescue & Disaster Response Competition07-25-10

LEGASPI CITY --  The 1st National Rescue and Disaster Response Competition is all set with the formal opening on July 26, 2010, 8:00 in thje morning at the PeÌaranda Park, Legaspi City.

In the meanwhile, the Technical Working Group of the 1st NATIONAL RECUE AND DISASTER RESPONSE (NRDR)COMPETITION on July 25-30, 2010 unanimously chosen KB BICOL represented by SIR REGIONAL GOVERNOR JENNIS NIDEA(30-01),being the 2009 National Gawad Kalasag Awardee, to lead the Oath of Sportsmanship.

According to Jojo Elvira Event Coordinator of the first ever national rescue competition that at least 7 teams will participate in the contest: PDCC Pangasinan, PDCC Sarangani, Malaybalay, Bukidnon, La Union, Ilagan, Isabela, and Naga City.

KBNet Phils is now registered with DSWD Registry of Volunteers07-15-10

The KabalikatNet Philippines Inc. (KbNet Phils) is now registered with the Registry of Volunteers on Risk Management & Disaster Response (RVRMDR) of the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) with Founder & National President Jennis I. Nidea (30-01) as the Focal Person & National Secretary-General for Bicol Ferdinand F. Abejero (219-14), as the Alternate Focal Person.

The DSWD's RVRMDR is a government's proactive step in preparing for natural & man-made disasters. It will serve as the national database of volunteer for disaster operations.

The RVRMDR will facilitates the deployment of appropriate volunteers to emergency and disaster situations.

According to Nidea the areas for volunteer work in disaster operations for KbNet Phils is in Preparedness and Response.

DAET, Camarine Norte --  Kabalikat Bicol Daet (KB139) Chapter headed by President Augusto Magana (139-97) recently confirmed their two (2) new applicants.

According to Magana upon confirmation, the 2 applicants with their temporary call sign, will undergo the process of recruitment by the chapter's Membership Committee, "which will not be less than six months", he added.

The confirmed applicants are: Robert J. Ubaña who was given a temporary call sign of 139-Tanggo 07 and Alberto G. Royales with his temporary call sign of 139-T08.

PILI, Cam. Sur --  About fifty (50) members of Kabalikat Bicol will augment the personnel of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur during a simple but extravagant Opening Parade of the Kaogma Festival on May 22, 2010, Saturday at 4 in the afternoon.
