KB Bicol chartered its new chapter in Albay

OAS, Albay  --  Kabalikat Bicol Governor Jennis Nidea (30-01) formally chartered its Oas Chapter after elevating twenty one (21) of the 33 original applicants for regular membership during the 3-in-1 affair  --  Chartering, Elevation and Confirmation Ceremonies -- on December 22, 2007 at Oas Covered court, here.

With an area code of 503, the 52nd chapters of KB Bicol, which will also be known as KB503, was organized through the effort of its founder, Francis Gonzales (370-42) and chapter organizer, KB Ligao City (KB500) Chapter in cooperation with the Provincial Executive Council of Albay headed by provincial chairman Boyet Revidad (500-01)

The elevation of its members and the chartering of KB503 was made after passing  the more than 3 months of screening process such as: operations and daily netting.

Albay governor Joey Sarte Salceda who was the guest speaker but did not attend the ceremonies due to pressing commitment in Manila was represented by Mr. Nick Mendoza said that the chartering of KB503 is “very timely”.

Salceda said he is a witness of the exemplary performance of KB Bicol members during the past calamities especially during the typhoon Milenyo and super typhoon Reming “as they always with a smile in their faces despite the hunger, the pain, the tedious experiences and most of all, they are willing to risk their own lives just to save the life of others. What a great love, indeed!”

On his part, Oas PNP Chief, P/Sr. Insp. Alfredo Nierva said that KB503 and Oas PNP will be partners in the maintenance of peace and order in the municipality.

Nierva cited the volunteer group “for rising their own lives just to save others”.
