KB BICOL to continue its unselfiish service to community

(SPEECH BY HONORABLE LIWAYWAY VINZONS-CHATO, REPRESENTATIVE, LONE DISTRICT OF CAMARINES NORTE DELIVERED BY HER STAFF, RICKY IBUÑA (139-63) DURING THE INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS AND ELEVATION OF NEW MEMBERS ON JANUARY 24, 2009)

     Kabalikat Bicol - Daet (KB139) Chapter had been very successful in the past years in delivering the message of volunteerism to our province.  Now, with 13 chapters in the province of Camarines Norte, I am truly thankful in spreading your wings to more of our constituents and being one of our partners in progress.  True to form, Kabalikat Bicol had always been ready in sharing yourselved to the community.  Today, as you induct your new set of officers, I bring you best wishes for a successful handover.  An induction is a celebratory event of your organization's accomplishment in achieving a smooth succession.  The leadership torch is being passed on to a new set of officers willing to take on the challenge of leadership.  I am sure that all of you are not worried at all because you know that your organization would be in good hands with your new officers at the helm.

     In as much as this is a handover, you must not forget that today is also a thanksgiving day.  This is an appreciation of all your hardwork and committment to the organization for the last year.  Also, thank your new officers for their desire and enthusiasm to move the organization forward with equal committment as their predecessors or even more  --  that commitment of responsibility commences tonight.

     Indeed, Kabalikat Bicol is a relatively young organization, and yet, it has already earned a place in the community through involvement with different community activities.  Tonight, you are all affirming your pledge of commitment for next years of unselfish srvice to the community especially to our province.  I am assured that every one of you who pledge is not just raising your right hand, but a pledge of two hundred percent commitment to action.  As such, I believe that you all would continue to lead the way to spearhead a collaborative effort with all sectors in the community to look into the complex problem related to our province's sustainable development.

     Once again, I congratulate all of you for this momentous event.  Enjoy the rest of the evening.
