Kabalikat Bicol to hold Rescue mini-olympics

NAGA City -- Six (6) Disaster and Rescue Teams (DARTs) of Kabalikat Bicol are expected to participate in the mini-olympics on rescue on December 19, 2009 at the ABS-CBN Compound, Panganiban Avenue, this city.

According to Kabalikat Bicol Regional Governor Jennis Nidea (30-01) the rescue mini-olympics will coincide with the Regional Executive Council Officers' and KabalikatNet National Board Meeting at the BSP Cam. Sur Council Office in this city.

The DARTs which will participate are: Libmanan (KB241) Chapter; Pamplona-Pasacao (KB120) chapter with 2 teams; San Fernando (KB277)chapter; Lupi Chapter and Sipocot (Saver & Anib High School).

Nidea said that the event will showcase the skills in First Aid and Rescue of the KB Bicol member who have undergone Disaster Management and Rescue Training in 5 batches last October and November, this year. The training was sponsored by the "78 4 D.A.TO. (Assistance for the Disaster-Affected TOwns), a special project of Congressman Dato Arroyo and Kabalikat Bicol in cooperation with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
