KB BICOL LUPI WINS RESCUE OLYMPICS

NAGA City -- The Lupi Disaster and Rescue Team (KB Bicol LUPI-DART) won the first ever Firsst Aid and Rescue mini olympics held last December 19, 2009 at the ABS CBN Compound.

The olympics, sponsored by the Kabalikat Bicol in cooperation with the ABS CBN Naga was participated in by 5 DARTs: Lupi,KB120 (Pamplona-Pasacao), KB277 (San FErnando), Sipocot Saver (represented by Anib High School and the mixed team of KB241 (Libmanan) and KB120 (Pamplona-Pasacao).

According to Jennis Nidea (30-01), KB Bicol Regional Governor the event aimed at preparing the DARTs for the forthcoming big event in Libmanan next year -- the First Cong. Dato Arroyo First Aid & Rescue Olympics and another competition, an open skills olympics in Naga City.

Regional vice Governor Roberto Am. Julia (429-06) who is also the incumbent chapter president of Magarao (KB429) chapter in his message said that the staging of such competition is commendable because it does not only showcase the talent of the volunteer members but also applying in actual practice what they've learned in trainings.

Other winners were: 1st Runner-up - Mixed team of KB241 & KB120. 2nd runner-up - KB277 Sanfernando.

All the participating teams received P1,000.00.
