KB Bicol cited
The members of the various chapters in the province of Camarines Norte were cited "for a job well done" on its role in the recent Palarong Bicol 2010 hosted by the Department of Education of Cam. Norte and the local government units of the province.
Media outlets in Camarines Sur, Naga City and Albay called and/or text Jennis I. Nidea, KBNET Phils national president to "extend their wholehearted appreciation and recognition to the men and women of KB Bicol in Cam. Norte for their great efforts in providing the media outlets of palaro results and updates which resulted to positive feedbacks from the listeners".
Kabalikat Bicol is a private radio volunteer communication group tapped by the DepEd-Cam. Norte during the 10-day sports event. With more than 70 chapters on its fold, KB Bicol is a member of KabalikatNet Philippines, Inc., a national network and umbrella organization of volunteers and volunteer groups in the country.
During the Palaro, The KB Bicol Command Center was provided by Bayan Telecommunication with 5 units of Bayan Span, a wireless landline which proved to be of great help for easy access to the media center. Another way of relaying information by KB Bicol was through KbNET-Smart InfoBoard where more than 500 Smart mobile users registered in the InfoBoard, received updates via SMS text messaging for free. Registration with the InfoBoard is Free.
KBP Cam. Sur President and 106-3 Energy FM station manager Emman Llagas said "Thanks a lot for feeding us (radio stations) information which I'm pretty sure appreciated much not only by the media outlets but by the listening public".
Joe Ozabal of RMN-DWNX, in his text message to Nidea said that their radio station "is very much thankful to the effort of KB Bicol in providing us with the usefull information".
ABS-CBN Bicol TV Patrol anchorman Gerald Lorbes told the KBNet national president called up Nidea to extend their appreciation "The men and women of ABS' News and Public Affairs would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the KB Bicol for continuously providing us timely information, not only during the palaro but every time there are news worthy such as vehicular accidents along Maharlika Highways".
Dundee Bilason of Bombo Radyo Legaspi City said the results provided by the KB Bicol made easier for Bombo Radyo to "provide our listeners with a timely updates on the regional sports event.
In his text message, Jep Pasobillo of FBN-DZGE said "we in DZGE, salutes KB Bicol for their unselfish efforts in relaying daily results of the just concluded Palaro".
Joel Buena, station manager of BBS-DWLV said that, "the live reports rendered by Mr. Abejero specially on the results and other updates in the palaro gave us and our listeners opportunities to know on the actual happenings in the sports events annually conducted by the Department of Education. For that, we greatly appreciates the efforts KB Bicol", he added.
Nidea on the other hand, commended the Provincial Executive Council (PEC) of KB Bicol in Cam. Norte headed by provincial chairman Nahum S. Omaña (214-27), provincial secretary Ferdz Abejero (219-14), Provincial Operations Head & Daet president Augusto Magana (139-97) and the various chapters: Daet (KB139), Basud (KB219), Labo (KB216), Paracale (KB209), J. Panganiban (KB178), Mercedes (KB140), Talisay (KB142), Bagong Silang (KB157), Sta Elena (KB138) and San Vicente (KB214)for actively participating in the palaro operations.
The KbNet founder and national president also extend thanks to DepEd Cam. Norte Superintendent Arnulfo Balane and Media & Communication Chairperson Angelita Relucio "for the opportunity to be part of the annual regional sports event" and to the Boy Scout of Philippines Cam. Norte Council for the free use of its facilities which was serve as the billeting area of KB Bicol members coming from various chapters outside Cam. Norte.
