KBNet Phils is now registered with DSWD Registry of Volunteers

The KabalikatNet Philippines Inc. (KbNet Phils) is now registered with the Registry of Volunteers on Risk Management & Disaster Response (RVRMDR) of the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) with Founder & National President Jennis I. Nidea (30-01) as the Focal Person & National Secretary-General for Bicol Ferdinand F. Abejero (219-14), as the Alternate Focal Person.

The DSWD's RVRMDR is a government's proactive step in preparing for natural & man-made disasters. It will serve as the national database of volunteer for disaster operations.

The RVRMDR will facilitates the deployment of appropriate volunteers to emergency and disaster situations.

According to Nidea the areas for volunteer work in disaster operations for KbNet Phils is in Preparedness and Response.

"Under the Preparedness, KBNet is specifically in the areas of Basic Survival Skills Training, First Aid Training and Individual, Family and Community Disaster Preparedness Training and under the Response, we are in the areas of Rescue and Evacuation", Nidea pointed out.

KBNet Phils is a national network and umbrealla organization of the volunteer groups in the country.  

Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the KBNet Phils was co-founded by Nidea, the KB Bicol Regional Governor and Dr. Armin Santos (33-02), the National President of KB Malaya.

The group with Nidea and Santos as the national president and national chairman, respectively, was officially launched on April 25, 2009 in Sorsogon State University, Sorsogon City.

Member-organizations at present are: KB Bicol, KB Malaya, KB Mediacom, KBNet Quezon Province and KBNet National Capital Region.
