Imperial & Ragay designated Acting PEC Heads; All PECs instructed to elect new officers

NAGA City  --  Kaboronyogan nin mga Bicolnon (KB Bicol) Regional Governor Jennis I. Nidea yesterday issued a memorandum designating Sir Tonyboy Imperial (500-06), incumbent chapter president of Ligao (KB500) chapter and Sir Nestor Ragay (277-05), encumbent PEC CSUr Vice Chairman for the 2nd District and chapter president of san Fernando (KB277)  chapter as Acting Provincial Chairman of PEEC Albay and Cam. Sur, respectively.

In the same memo, Nidea also instructed all PEC Chairmen -- Sir Nahum Omana (214-27) of PEC Cam. Norte; Sir Ragay (277-05) of PEC Cam. Sur; Sir Imperial (500-06) of PEC Albay; Sir Benny Butal (161-23) of PEC Masbate and Sir Raffy Arganda (516-01) of PEC Sorsogon)  -- to set their provincial assembly within the month of November with Election of New Set of PEC Officers as the number one agendum.

After the PEC elections, Nidea said, there will be an election in the Regional Executive Council (REC), as per agreed upon during the regional assembly last August 21, 2010 in the City of Naga.

Nidea said that, as agreed upon, Daet (KB139) chapter will host the REC Election.

Positions at stake at the PEC are: Provincial Chairman, Vice Chairman for every Congressional District; Provincial Treasurer, Provincial Auditor and; Provincial PIO. The Provincial Secretary and the Provincial Operations Chief are to be appointed by the elected Provincial Chairman.

All elected and appointed PEC officers shall assume on January 1, 2011 up to December 31, 2013 or a 2-year term.

On the other hand, positions at stake in the REC are: Regional Governor, Vice Governor for Operations, Vice governor for Administration, Regional Treasurer, Regional Auditor and, Regional PIO. The Regional Secretary-General shall be appointed by the elected Regional Governor.  

The elected and appointed REC officers shall immediately assume their respective positions upon taking their oath of office and shall serve until December 31, 2013.
