DECEMBER 2007 BUS ACCIDENT VICTIM THANKS KABALIKAT BICOL

A victim of a vehicular accident thanks Kabalikat Bicol for the assistance made during a vehicular accident 8 months ago.

Amy Tayoto of Tinalmud, Pasacao Camarines Sur was among the victims of a vehicular accident involving two buses (one is Bobis Line) in a head-on collision at Calauag, Quezon few days before the celebration of New Year of 2008.

Amy Tayoto, according to his father, Miguel Tayoto left their house two (2) years ago to enter as a housemaid in Cavite. During the 1st year of her job, they had a good communication. Mr. Tayoto has to go to Poblacion of Pasacao and has to pay a store to send a text message to her daughter to ask for a return call. He used this arrangement for a year until one day no return call was done and then no communication did ever happen.

Until one day, Mr. Tayoto heard over BBS-DZLL on an announcement made by the PEC Chairman of Camarines Sur, Mr. Irvin Ayo (KB30-54) about an accident and scores of victims mostly from Camarines Sur were involved which included her daughter as among the victims who were severely injured  and confined in a hospital in Calauag, Quezon.

Mr. Tayoto immediately went to Naga City and looked for KB 30-54 and asked how he could see her daughter. KB30-54 in coordination with Mr. Pewee Bacuño (KB 56-49) has closely communicated and finally had Mr. Tayoto reunited with his daughter several days after and met at the CBD Terminal in Naga City.

Ms. Amy Tayoto, when asked why her father could no longer contact her, she said that she lost her cellphone and could no longer recall the number her father used to call for it was stored in her lost cellphone. She further recalled that she was supposed to surprise her family to join them in the New Year celebration when the accident happened.

Ms. Tayoto, in a text message sent last August 3, 2008, wholeheartedly thanks those members of Kabalikat Bicol and other individuals who assisted her which eventually had her reunited with her family even though she had a fractured leg.

She is now working in Laguna.
