All roads to Sorsogon City

SORSOGON CITY -- The Kabalikat Bicol - Provincial Executive Council of Sorsogon, announces that they are all set to welcome all the delegates who will participate in the First Luzon Summit of KabalikatNet Philippines Inc., a new national network and umbrella organization of volunteers and volunteer groups in the country on April 25-26, 2009 at the Sorsogon State College, this city.

Hosted by PEC Sorsogon, the Summit, which has a theme: "Enhances the Values of Volunteerism and Service",  is expected to be participated by more than 500 officers and members of Kabalikat Malaya, Kabalikat Mediacom and Kabalikat Bicol.

According to PEC Chairman Mel P. Balin (122-44) they have invited the Sorsogon City Mayor as the keynote speaker and Castilla Vice Mayor and OCD Director as guests of honor during the opening ceremonies at 12noon on April 25.

Balin said that after the opening program, a plenary session for the Summit will be held with the following agenda:  election of national officers who will be responsible in the preparation of the formal launching of KBNet Phils during the First Nationalk Assembly which will be held sometime in October this year at either in Metro Manila, Clark or Subic.

The elected officers will also draft the national CBL.

In the evening of the same day, Sorsogon Governor and PNP regional Director are expected to grace the event as guests of honor.  A cultural presentation sponsored by the provincial tourism office will follow.

Meanwhile, CSur PEC Chairman Bong San Andres (276-08) urge all delegates coming from CNorte, Ist and 2nd  Districts of CSur and those from Metro Manila, Northern Luzon and Quezon to be at the BSP Naga on or before 6am on SAturday where delegations will converge then proceed to Nabua where the delegations from the 3rd and 4th districts will meet and join the convoy to Sorsogon.
